Click on the preview screen to see that if we cut now it would be one full word not individual letters.ġ2- While in the design space you can click the undo icon to undo your weld.ġ3- You can see in preview that the undo has reverted the welding of the letters.ġ4- Once you save your file with welded images/text they will be permanently welded. (remember with text you need to ungroup the text first then weld.)Ĩ- If you click on the preview icon you will see that each letter is overlapped.If we cut now each letter would cut separate.ĩ- To weld Select all the letters together.ġ1- your image/text is now welded. I am using text this time that i would like to weld. During the temp weld you can move your shapes but when you go to cut they will cut as a welded file.ħ- Lets try a Union or permanent weld. The image will not look any different.Ħ- Click on the preview icon As you can see in the preview screen your shapes have been welded as far as cutting the design, but you can also see both shapes.

We will go through how to temporary weld first.Ĥ- Select both image that you want welded together.ĥ- Click on the style icon (1), then in the style panel you will see a little box with weld.
You can temporary weld images or you can weld them as a union where they cannot be changed once saved.ģ- First create the design you want to weld. Makes life so much easier.2- In SCAL4 there are 2 different ways you can weld something. I am able to load my SVGs in SCAL, do all my changes and hit one button to convert to the new FCM format. Without SCAL 5.0 it would be a tedious process. You need to convert SVGs to the FCM format to use on Brother machines.

You did not mention the bonus content was not received, it should have been on the same email where your manual was sent. We chatted shortly after your purchase about the language options on the software as well as the manual. I just bought the sure cut a lot 5 but i didnt get the bonus things like it said Purchased previously in 2017 and on both occasions, transactions were flawless. Received Order Confirmation immediately followed seconds later by email an containing S/N, clear download instructions, link for manual, etc., followed by a third email containing links for all Bonus Content. I purchased and love the software, would recommend. I had a chance to talk to the people at this site and they were so nice and helpful and answered all of my questions.
